Footwear and travel tips with Irene from Nine West

Tell us a little about Nine West?
Established in 1978, the Nine West brand took its name from its founding address at 9 West 57th Street in New York City. Each collection embodies a balance of our fashionable New York heritage and quintessential Australian style. We celebrate the modern woman, who leads a multifaceted lifestyle, equal parts work and play.
Nine West offers a thoughtfully curated range of footwear, handbags and accessories. Each collection illustrates our commitment to balancing essential pieces with the season’s iconic trends, always maintaining a focus on wearability, quality and style. Our cult classics, each lending their celebrated personalities to the mix, are updated seasonally so that your favourite piece will always be in style.

A little bit about Irene
Irene is the well-known and much-loved manager of Nine West at Malvern Central. Over her six years in the centre, Irene has built a wonderful base of regular customers along with an incredible team of staff.

How big is your team?
We are a small but mighty team of four who treat everyone who walks through the door like part of the family. We always work hard to find shoes that best suit every customer, outfit, and occasion.
Where is your favourite destination to travel and why?
New York City or Positano. NYC for its liveliness, fashion and performing arts. Positano for its relaxed and gorgeous beaches, culture, and food.
What are your go-to/must-have travel items?
A great pair of trans-seasonal flats that are comfortable and will take you from walking around and exploring a new city, plus chic enough for a luxe dinner.
Can you tell us about how you build your own travel capsule wardrobe?
Great quality basics with a couple of fancy pieces for that special dinner out of the town.
Summer: Your best pair of denim, quality T-shirts, floral sundress, dainty pair of low sandals or sleek loafers.
Winter: Lots of layers including quality knit jumpers, leather trousers and chunky Chelsea boots.
