Easter Chick Wafer Dips

Cooking with kids this Easter? Create these Easter Chick Wafer Dips in 6 simple steps.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup white chocolate melts
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tsp yellow food dye
  • 16 candy eye balls
  • Flower sprinkles for the beak, feet and hair
 

Method

  1. Place the white chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave proof bowl and place in the microwave on medium heat in 30 second bursts or until the chocolate is starting to melt (don’t overdo or the chocolate will harden/burn)
  2. Remove chocolate from the oven and stir in the food dye
  3. Place the wafers on a wire rack on top of a parchment lined baking sheet to capture any dripping from the melted wafers.
  4. Use a spoon to drizzle chocolate evenly over two thirds of the wafer
  5. Allow the excess to drip off and then immediately, add 2 candy eyeballs and two of the flower shaped sprinkles to resemble the feet.
  6. Add 2 of the yellow hair sprinkles above the eyes, near the top and place the 2 red broken up sprinkles under the eyes to make the beak.
  7. Allow to set for at least 10 minutes and enjoy!
